With the help of research, customer feedback, and time-tested hard work, the John Deere business was booming by 1849, producing 2,000 plows a year. The leaping deer trademark is recognized worldwide. Created over a century ago, it’s the longest continuously used corporate logo of any Fortune 500 company.
The folks up north call deer "leapers". Once when my husband was driving the car late at night, I was along to help spot for deer. I screamed, "Deer". He said, "yes honey". I said, "No, DEER, D-E-E-R" "Deer on the right". BAM. After that we had a loud understanding what Deer and Dear meant. For us, geocaching ends before sunset because of the activity of deer.
Around the corner from this cache is the John Deere farm implement area. We've always wanted one, but the finances just dont support it.
