Hello! And welcome to another CASH Cache.
Please don't get too excited by the name. There is no money to be found inside the container. In this instance, CASH stands for Concealed Around St Helier. And that's exactly what I intend to do. Bit by bit I hope to create a series of geocaches that encircles the whole of St Helier.
This first one is located at St Helier's iconic Steam Clock ... Or as many locals would say, St Helier's colossal waste of money. For Ariadne (to use it's proper name) cost a massive £250,000 when it was first constructed back in 1996 and although it carries the prestige of being the World's largest steam clock, the steam function hasn't been working for years now.
Okay. So in its present condition, the Steam Clock may well be a rubbish timepiece that's just too expensive to maintain. But who cares about that? It's still a great location for a geocache.
