Geocache Description:

The Deer Park

When you stand in this location, with your back to the road, the land ahead of you is a vast 300 acre Deer Park, all part of the Eastnor Castle Estate. Immediately in front of you is a car park, for the recently opened (2021) cafe, but beyond that is rolling countryside, a pleasure to behold. If you're lucky, you may see the odd deer or 2, they're very elusive. You're more likely to spot one of the wild and untamed 'British built 4x4 vehicles' roaming around the estate, as there has long been a connection with 'LR' and the Eastnor estate, they have a training centre next to the castle and use the tracks through the deer park on an almost daily basis. Richard Hammond, when testing the new RR Sport for BBC Top Gear in 2013, crashed a brand new car into a tree somewhere up there!

The cache is easily accessible from the road side, you do not need to enter the cafe car park to reach it, please be careful with small children and dogs, as this is a very busy main road.

This cache was originally placed by the West Midlands Mega team, but has now been passed over to a local cacher to maintain.
