Geocache Description:

One of a set of 15 hiking geocaches. Come prepared; you may encounter uneven, rocky ground, water-crossing, wildlife of various sizes, and more. You’re in the woods, and there you’ll also certainly encounter some truly spectacular scenery. Swap out those sneakers or sandals for hiking boots and perhaps a hiking stick. Enjoy!

These geocaches are NOT to be found at their posted coordinates. You need to solve the puzzle by correctly answering the question with a one-word answer and entering that word into the Certitude geochecker below. If you answer correctly, you'll receive the correct coordinates and possibly a hint to help you find the geocache when you go out to find it. Find the cache, and sign the geocache log sheet, then log your find online.

Note: don't get too specific with your answers. If the picture shows a red oak, the answer is simply, OAK. If it's a shagbark hickory, say HICKORY. If it's an Eastern hemlock, then enter HEMLOCK. All of the trees are common to the Tri-State region and/or Pennsylvania.

Now, here's your question...

What kind of tree, common in Pennsylvania, is seen in this picture?

Click on the Certitude geochecker and enter your one-word answer to receive the coordinates where you can find the geocache.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
