Due to council changing the sign we have had to redo the workings for this cache. It is now harder so we have increased the D rating. We also have had to move the final cache location due to the cache being removed twice. 15/10/2025
Please Note: Mobile signal may be a bit spotty at the listed coordinates. Signal is better at the parking coordinates.
Birds of Pir'ri Reserve
The reserve is named Pir'ri, which means mangrove, by members of the Wondunna Clan of the Butchulla people who are the traditional owners of the area. The reserve has clearly defined walking tracks throughout. There is picnic table at the entrance and of course plenty of bird life. Ensure you have adequate water and sun protection, as always, when bushwalking.
The Cache
At the listed coordinates you will find a sign with some of the birds that can be found in the reserve on it. You will need to use the Digital root of their full names to find the Cache. We will be using the bottom 4 birds only (the Tawny Frogmouth is not used). The birds are read from left to right to get the numbers for A, B, C and D, this will then have to be entered into Certitude to get the final co-ords.
A = 1st Bird
B = 2nd Bird
C = 3rd Bird
D = 4th Bird
