A social gathering at the time the Sun will be furthest north this year.
A chance to meet and chat with other geocachers and enjoy a coffee,
snack or light lunch as the sun reaches its zenith.
After the meet perhaps take a walk along this section of the
"England Coast Path", westwards to Tide Mills or east to Splash Point.

Northern Hemisphere - Summer Solstice
Solstice...from the Latin “sol” (sun) and “stitium” (still or stopped)
In the Northern hemisphere, the Summer Solstice occurs when the sun is directly above the Tropic of Cancer,
This is the furthest the Sun appears to have travelled north and stops, before apparently moving southwards and getting lower in the sky.
Due to variations in the Earth's orbit this can occur on 21 or 22 June: this year it will occur at 10:13 am on 21 June.
