Geocache Description:

This geocache is not in the pond! You have to solve the puzzle to find the real coordinates - no getting wet required.

This is a mystery cache hidden in Taylor Park, a park in the town of Stoughton, SK. Taylor Park was dedicated on August 13, 1996 to the town of Stoughton's first mayor, Wilfred C. Taylor (June 1 1960 - October 31, 1978). In the park, there is a time capsule buried by the town of Stoughton on July 1, 2000 and will be opened on July 1, 2050. Near this monument, there is a fountain, a playground, picnic tables, and a walking path (0.6km) that goes all around the pond. Be sure not to be seen by anyone in the park while looking for the cache. Bring your own pencil.

The Puzzle

1. To find the real coordinates, you must solve the puzzle. First, you must have a copy of a blank coordinate grid (also known as a Cartesian Plane), and know how to plot points on it. If you don't know, look it up.

2. Plot these points:

A (-4, 2), B (-4, 3), C (-3, 3), D (-4, 5), E (-5, 3). Connect the dots. Draw a line between A and B, B and C, and D and B. Then connect D to E and E to B.

3. If you have followed the instructions correctly, you should see a number traced out on your coordinate grid. Call this number (*). Repeat using the instructions to find the other numbers, (♦), ($), (?), and (&).

4. Instructions for finding number (♦): F (1, 10), G (3, 10), H (3, 7), I (1, 7). Connect F to G, G to H, H to I, and I to F.

5. Instructions for finding number ($): J (7, 10), K (9, 10), L (9, 8), M (9, 6), N (7, 6), O (7, 8). Connect J to K, K to L, L to M, M to N, N to O, O to J, and O to L.

6. Instructions for finding number (?): P (3, 0), Q (4, 1), R (4, -2), S (5, -2), T (3, -2). Connect P to Q, Q to R, S to R, and T to R.

7. Instructions for finding number (&): U (-5, -2), V (-7, -2), W (-7, -4), X (-5, -4), Y (-5, -6), Z (-7, -6). Connect U to V, V to W, W to X, X to Y, Y to Z, and U to X.

8. Fill in the coordinates:

N 49° (*) (♦) . ($) (?) (&), W 103° (♦) (?) . ($) (*) (?)

9. Lastly, put the new coordinates into the solution checker and go head out to find the cache.

Please note that, while little hints are allowed, any logs with big hints/spoilers (including pictures) will be deleted without any notice.

To replace logbook in cache:

1. Roll log scroll up as tight as you can.

2. Turn lid of container up-side down and place scroll in lid of container.

3. Screw bottom of container on top of lid.

4. Flip container right-side up.
