About this cache: This is a gadget cache. You must solve the puzzle to get the combination to the lock.
Smoky the Bear was waking up from his long winter slumber when he saw someone running to the river to get a bucket of water to put out a campfire that someone left unattended.
From Smoky’s report to the Dinsmore Hose company: I saw a person run to the river and back real quick like. He must have good eyesight because he never tripped over anything. He wasn’t wearing a hat because I could see his hair – it was the same color as my cousin Ursus Maritimus. I hope you can find him… he deserves a reward for saving the forest!
Once you figure out the hero, first use the number across the top, then the number on the side to identify the two numbers that you need. Then enter those numbers twice in the lock to access the log book. [If the hero was Laura, the combo would be 0404.] Please be sure the lock is closed before you leave and that the front door is latched shut.
