This Cache is placed as part of the 2022 Taconic Region Geocaching Challenge. The NYS Parks Saratoga-Capital Region and the Central Region will be hosting a similar challenge. Find 45 challenge caches in the Taconic Region and stamp your passport to earn a trackable geo-coin. Ten caches found in the Sara-Cap and/or Central Region Challenge can be used toward the Taconic Challenge. This cache contains a unique stamp which must stay with the cache. Use this stamp to mark your passport. This stamp is NOT a trade item; neither is the special pencil.

About this cache: For some birds, camouflage is important. Robins, who make their nests in shrubs, are a brown-black color which helps them to blend in with the grassy nests they make. Female Cardinals are a dull brown which is quite a contrast to the bright red male Cardinals, and helps them to blend in with their nests. Keep this in mind as you are looking for this cache that is well camouflaged but in plain sight.
You are looking for a unique container at The Walkway Over the Hudson State Park. Once you spot the cache, take it with you to a nearby seat to sign the log and stamp your passport. Please return the cache to the original hiding spot.
