On the Weldborough pass there is a stunning short walk through an ancient rainforest.
Here you will meet Grandma and Grandfather Myrtle who will tell you a bit about about themselves and their relatives, the most abundant, widespread rainforest species in Tasmania. They also have relatives as far away as New Zealand and South America .
Here you have to find another long lost relative of theirs, Uncle Myrtle, who came to stay a while with them. Unlike his giant relatives, Uncle Myrtle is very diminutive in size, only around 30cm tall, so may be a bit more difficult to spot.
