Welcome to a little hidden shelly beach in the upper Whangarei Harbour. Not a lot of people will have visited this spot, but now you have a reason to explore.
Initially I tried placing this cache above the high water mark, but that was breaching the 161 metre rule. So now, depending on the tide, you may need to get wet feet or even knees ..
Any time over the bottom half of the tide though, you should be able to keep dry feet.
And although a lot of areas in the upper harbour are quite muddy once you venture out a bit, the route to the cache here is surprisingly firm, so you should keep your shoes clean too ..
Cache should be immediately obvious once you have followed the firm footing route.
