Come out and enjoy an evening paddle at the Bowness Lagoon!
Bring your favourite watercraft out for a float on the lagoon! Kayaks, canoes, stand-up paddle boards and pedal boats would all make for a great piece of transportation to the event site! Park nearby at the very large Bowness Park parking lot, prepare your vessel and hit the seas for a meetup at 7:00 PM at the large structure in the centre of the lagoon.
The event lasts 30 minutes at the posted coordinates from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM.
SPECIAL NOTES:
1) Lifejackets are mandatory. You will face a hefty fine and a mandatory court appearance if you are caught not wearing a lifejacket on a body of water inside the Calgary city limits.
2) If you don't own a suitable watercraft, rentals are available at Bowness Park from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM all summer long. You can rent a kayak, canoe or pedal boat (lifejackets included). This rental service is operated by the U of C Outdoor Centre, but it is located at Bowness Park.
3) If the weather forecast looks poor, the event will be rescheduled.
