North Branch #9: L-L-Love Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Death Wish Dave: I apologize for the previous archive log--it's staying archived but I totally misremembered it. This one was hanging on a tree overhanging the river. As I got closer, I saw a large tree laying in the river. As I got even closer, I realized it was the tree on which the cache was placed. I couldn't find the actual container but then we looked all along the rest of the island for a good replacement spot. The bank was steep and muddy the entire way and there really didn't look to be a decent spot for landing a watercraft or placing a cache for that matter. We even paddled around the back of the island a little bit to see if we could avoid an archive but we never found anything.

Geocache Description:

We placed caches just about at every island along this stretch down to Cumberland. Cuz, why not? It's a great paddle--that I may have mentioned. I wonder if there are enough here that people will actually come out and find them all. I hope you are reading this and looking for a fun thing to do and decide this is it. You won't be sorry.

This song is form a band originally named Astaire. "L-L-Love" is from their first album before the estate of Fred Astaire sued them to change their name. This song really rocks. I particularly like the vocal effects in the bridge. They changed their name to Blondfire afterwards. Let me know if you've heard L-L-Love before.

Congrats to sarinalynn and Matt Proffitt on the FTF.
