Geocache Description:

Welcome to our second hide in the Cowdrey Nature Center! We love these trails because they are not far from home and are very kid-friendly - which in our world means short, relatively flat and few fun bridges thrown in for extra fun.

This cache was named after one of my son’s favorite books, Abiyoyo. In the story, a son and his father save the town from Abiyoyo with the help of their music. Abiyoyo could easily get to this cache, but normal humans will find it a bit tougher. You will need the help of a tool you can find nearby to get to it. Please use the hook on the bottom for this purpose, and be sure to return the cache just as you found it - you may need to give it a little help to return to its original position.

The Mulpus Brook runs through this area, which is part of the Nashua River Watershed. The Cowdrey is a vital part of protecting the watershed, as a good part of the area around the Mulpus is preserved here.  In the trails here, you can catch up with the Mulpus various times, a bonus for kids wanting to look for frogs and other wetland creatures. Which also means… wear bug spray! 🦟 This one is a little more off the trail than we usually go, but we needed a good hiding spot!

The closest parking is at the north side of the Cowdrey, off Mulpus Road, though there is limited space to park at that trailhead. You can also park at the south side of the Cowdrey, off 2A. See waypoints for coords.
