This cache is placed along the Three Lakes Trail which can be accessed from Sunken Mine Road. The parking coordinates are for a lot at the north end of Sunken Mine Rd that is about ½ mile from the trail head. During the summer you can also park in one of several individual spaces along Sunken Mine Road, which is dirt but mostly well graded. The title of this cache is derived from a song about summer.
This cache is a field puzzle that takes advantage of some of the common natural features in Fahnestock. Your task is to fill in the puzzle(s) in the first two pictures in the gallery to determine the location of the final. If you face southeast you will find the visual clues that will help you determine the north coordinates. If you face northwest, you will find the visual clues that will provide the west coordinates. If you are stumped by the puzzle, you may search for a container placed within the view of one of the two photos that also contains the final coordinates.
To reach the cache, find a herd path that leads around the north side of the ledge at the posted coordinates and follow it for a few tenths of a mile.
