This Cache is placed as part of the 2022 Taconic Region Geocaching Challenge. It is a bonus cache and does not contain a stamp for the passport. It is placed for your enjoyment.
This cache is placed a short distance from Sunken Mine Road. The parking coordinates are for a lot at the north end of Sunken Mine Rd that is about ½ mile from the cache. During the summer you can also park in one of several individual spaces along Sunken Mine Road, which is dirt but mostly well graded. The title of this cache is derived from a song about summer. The cache is a preform container.
Summer is a drag! Your boss makes you work late, your parents won’t let you use the car, and your elected officials won’t help you at all! As Eddie Cochran (and many since him) famously sang, “there ain’t no cure for the summertime blues.”
Or is there? Geocaching is the key! With geocaching, you can get outdoors for some sunshine, fresh air, and exercise. You can explore new places with friends and enjoy the thrill of discovery.
The cache is not at the posted coordinates, but they may be a good place to park. To find the geocache and get rid of your summertime blues, solve the puzzle below:
