Geocache Description:

Angelica liked to read stories. Discovering far away places would take her away from the monotony of her life. Diving into the worlds of her books were her favorite pastime. Fantasy stories was the genre she liked best. Ignoring the drama of her stressful life is what she looked forward to after a rough day at school. Fairies, goblins, and other mythical beasts filled the posters on her walls.  "There must be something we can do?" said her worried mother. "You could take away her books." suggested her father. "That is the last thing we should" mom said. Help would come from an unexpected place. Reading had also been a pastime of Angelica's Aunt Edna. Edna grew up across the ocean in England. English girls didn't normally read books by authors like Tolkein and Asimov. To Edna, this was wrong, and she loved reading these books and thought that Angelica would love these stories too. Obviously, she needed to convince Angelica's parents of this, as they never discovered the joy of books. Now, how to go about this? Over the next few days, she gave examples of how reading can be a great benefit to their child. Realizing that they had been mistaken in their thought process, they eventually came around. Three days later, Angelica's parents surprised her with a library card. Happily, they all visited the local library the very next day and left with a stack full of books.

Alex loved baseball. Dreaming about the current and past players filled his head. Day or night, his thoughts were always about the game. Tom Seaver was his favorite pitcher. Hitters he favored were Chipper Jones and Mike Piazza. Indexing players stats, he had notebooks filling the shelves of his bedroom. Reciting team rosters going back to the 1940's could be done by him with ease. Then one day, he met someone who could match his knowledge of baseball, with the sport of football. Yasmine's father played football through college. Surprisingly, she liked to come up with creative plays to move the ball down the field. Incredibly, she could match Alex's knowledge of baseball with her love of football. X's and O's knowledge of offense and defense, she would be able to converse with coaches that had worked in the game for years. To Alex, he was smitten with this girl, even though he knew nothing about the sport she loved. Opening his mind, he began to see the intricacies of the sport. Wanting to return the favor, Yasmine began to appreciate the sport of baseball that Alex so loved. Enjoying each others passions, they began to deepen their friendship. Soon, they were inseperable and you find them talking the sport at either the ball field or stadium. Together they turned their hobbies into careers and can now be seen on national sport channels and have also authored a number of books.
