竜宮洞穴は、西湖の南東にある溶岩洞穴で、一般道から樹海散策路に入り、5分ほど歩いた場所に所在します。自然散策路の入り口に「竜宮洞穴入口」というバス停があるので、公共バスでもアクセス可能です。この洞穴は、864年の「貞観噴火」により流出した溶岩によってできた洞穴なのですが、富士山の隠れパワースポットとしても有名です。洞内に降りるには、溶岩が階段的になっているので、特別な装備は全く必要なく、また、有料の観光洞穴ではない自然の洞窟なので、どなたでも入洞することが可能です。洞内は夏でも氷があるような場所なので、冬場は足元が凍結し、大変すべりやすくなっています。キャッシュはspoilerを頼りに探してみてください。ペンをお持ちください。
Ryugu Cave is a lava cave in the southeast of the West Lake, which enters the Jukai promenade from the general road and walks for about 5 minutes.
