The Green Mountain Fire Lookout Tower provides a 360-degree view over the Christmas Valley and Fort Rock area. As an active lookout tower, it is staffed from June through October. If not busy, the firefighter will allow access.
The current fire tower was built in 2010, replacing the 1963 lookout. The tower rises 50 feet above the surrounding landscape, sitting a little over 5,000 feet in elevation.
