Little Bridges - River Malago
The Malago is a tributary of the Bristol Avon and is around 5 miles long. The river rises in springs on the north side of Dundry Hill on the borders of Somerset and Bristol. Much of the river has been culverted as it flows through built-up South Bristol. It has been suggested that the origin of the name Malago is from the British Celtic melis (mill) and agos (place).
The cache
Please note that you need to start collecting the data at Waypoint 1, not at the posted coordinates.
Cache retrieval requires standing on a rail hence terrain 2 rating.
Count up the number of letters in your answers, except when the answer is numerical.
At Waypoint 1:
What compass direction is part of a street sign's name here? A
As you walk along the road towards the red bench:
What bird is on the wall, across the road? B

Now check out the bridge and calculate the final coordinates:
N51 26. (C / A) (A + G) (F + G)
W02 35. (E - (B - D)) (C - (F + G)) (B - D)

The Little Bridges series was started by Stanthews in 2009 to highlight small footbridges in remote parts of Wiltshire. Since then, the series has been expanded by others all over the country and starting to spread fast. There is a stats listing, so you can see how many Little Bridges you have found, you can find it here: - https://www.littlebridgesseries.co.uk. If you would like to add to the series, please go to this site, on the tab Get Involved click number request and fill in the form. To qualify, the bridge must be a foot bridge too small for vehicles, please make sure your title exactly matches “Little Bridges # xxxx then the name” including spaces so it will get picked up and added to stats list.
