Geocache Description:

Mud Shark

The mud shark, more commonly known as the spiny dogfish inhabits many areas of the world. Recently, the spiny dogfish here in the pacific ocean have been noted as a ceperate species, called the Pacific Spiny dogfish. We'll talk about the pacific spiny dogfish since they are they ones that live around here. This small shark likes to hang around in bays and on the floor of the sea. Most of the time, they stay in salt water and don't pose an imminent threat to humans. The diet of these carnivorious consists of shrimp, krill, squid, and other sharks and fish. The pacific spiny dogfish consume very little carbohydrates and glucose. During times of starvation, they rely on ketone bodies to give them enough energy to survive. They are able to endure severe hypoglycemia, (low blood sugar,) due to their ketone oxidation. Not many predators attack these sharks, but they do have to worry about seals, orcas and bigger sharks.

Alright, here's the jigsaw puzzle to get the final coordinates to this cache.

Welcome to the Fishy series! A series of caches made as a geoart for HAG XIX. Since this years theme is water, the series has been placed along a water related trail. Some spots along the trail have significant erosin and cliffs. Please use caution. The trail does get quite wet (and floods,) but has some great views and provides a great walk or hike. If you have solved Fishy #1, you will know where abouts to park for the rest of the series. Please close all containers properly and hide back as found. Hope everybody enjoys the series and the trail as much as I did!
