Ford Pinto

The Ford Pinto is a car named for the small pony, which itself is named for being a bit off-white and splotchy.
It's a small American car built in the 1970s that had a power train similar to the British Ford Escort 1600cc, though the rest of the car is somewhat different. It's been voted one of the worst 50 cars of all time, though many young owners have very fond memories of their youth in one of the most iconic cars of the era.
