2022年 栃木県民の日
栃木県民の日に制定されている6月15日は1873年に旧栃木県と宇都宮県が合併し栃木県が誕生した日です。この日を記念して、2022年の県民の日に栃木にゆかりのあるジオキャッシャーが募りキャッシュを公開しました。

矢の目ダムは栃木県那須郡那須町豊原にある那珂川水系黒川の支流板
Yanome Dam is a dedicated irrigation dam built on the Itashiki River, a tributary of the Kurokawa River in the Naka River system, located in Toyohara, Nasu Town, Nasu County, Tochigi Prefecture.
It is located on a hilly area near Shirakawa City on the eastern edge of the Nasu Plateau in Fukushima Prefecture, where the Chifuri Dam, also for irrigation, is located nearby. The dam is an earth dam, 29.0 m high, but at first glance it appears to be a rock-fill dam. It is intended for irrigation, and is effective for irrigation during periods of low rainfall. The Nasu Town Dam Management Office is in charge of management.
Since 2017, the town has discussed the idea of using the site as a tourist attraction, and as a result, canoe and sump experience tours have been offered on a trial basis.

There used to be the oldest cache in Tochigi called "YANOME" (GCJJEA), installed by Arcas on May 18, 2004.It was placed by Arcas-san on May 18, 2004.
I got hooked on geocaching with these caches placed by Arcas-san.
Finding caches in these hard-to-find places is the fun part of geocaching.
敷川に建設された灌漑専用ダムである。
那須高原の東端福島県境白河市の近くの丘陵地に位置し、近くに同じく灌漑用の千振ダムがある。ダムの型式はアースダムで、高さは29.0 mだが、一見するとロックフィルダムのように見える。灌漑を目的としており、少雨時の灌漑に威力を発揮している。管理担当は那須町ダム管理所。
2017年より、観光地として活用する案を町が協議した結果、試験的にカヌーやサップを使った体験型ツアーが実施されることになった。

ここには以前 「YANOME」（GCJJEA）という栃木最古のキャッシュがありました。Arcasさんによって２００４年５月１８日に設置されたものです。
私はArcasさんが置かれたこれらのキャッシュで、ジオキャッシングにはまってしまいました。
こういうなかなかいかないようなところのキャッシュを見つけて、ジオキャッシングの面白さを感じてください。
