Parque Urbano Kabah is worth a visit if you're in the area. It's a jungle park with walking/running trails, a kids playground, small museum, crocodile pools, a turtle pond, outdoor exercise equipment, and wandering raccoon-like animals called "coatis".
If you're staying in Cancun and you're tired of concrete, this park has plenty of this vegetation that will make you believe that you're not in Cancun anymore (if you use your imagination).
The trail goes in a loop that you can walk easily (it's quite well maintained) and the coatis are a lot of fun to watch (the groundskeepers feed them fruit so you'll see plenty near the fruit piles).
There are two entrances to this park (with parking lots in both) - on Ave Nichupte and across from Costco on Ave Rodrigo Gomez.
Recommended for kids, couples, and people looking for a safe place to walk or run during their stay in Cancun.
