Remus Lupin – #11 Provo Potter Parkway Series
The Remus Lupin cache is part of the Provo Potter Parkway Series. This is one of four Order of the Phoenix caches that each contain a number needed for the combination lock to open the Albus Dumbledore Bonus Cache.
This series includes caches along the Provo River Parkway trail. Some are at a distance from parking lots that provide trail access, but all are steps from the paved trail which is easily navigated by biking or walking.
Visit Harry Potter Hunt online for a list of all caches in this series, tips on where to park, and movie clips to enhance the experience of this geocaching adventure.
Where to Look
East of Paul Ream Wilderness Park and west of Riverside park there is a small dirt path that goes to the river. The cache is near this dirt trail and not far from the Parkway Trail.
Night Friendly Cache
This cache is made to be found during the day, but is also a Night Friendly Cache. If you dare to wander into the Forbidden Forest at night, use a flashlight and you will see a reflector on the tree closest to the hiding spot. (Anti-mosquito spells may be required during summer months).
What’s Inside
Bring your own pen to mark the log. Inside this cache you will find:
- One of the numbers needed to open the combination lock for the Albus Dumbledore Bonus Cache.
- The answer to this Harry Potter trivia question:
Answer these questions about Remus Lupin:
- What does he turn into periodically?
- What potion does he take to manage his condition?
- How did he sign his name on the Marauder’s Map?
Muggle Awareness
Beware of muggles. Sections of the Provo River Parkway Trail can have high traffic, particularly on weekends. Stealth is required. Please don’t be the one responsible for a call to the Obliviator Headquarters at the Ministry of Magic. We would like to keep the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes out of this.
Happy hunting!
