In 2019 the Flood Protection Scheme was created in order to alleviate flood risk throughout the Smithton and Culloden communities. Once finished, the area was converted into a park with picnic tables and benches. Trees were planted and a natural pond formed through which runs Culloden Burn. A pleasant haven in an urban area.
