[LT] Bernardinų sodas, anksčiau vilniečių vadintas Sereikiškių parku, įsikūręs pačiame Vilniaus centre tarp Gedimino pilies bokšto, Vilnelės ir Bernardinų vienuolyno. Ypatinga parko erdvė – botanikos ekspozicija, skirta įamžinti XVIII a. čia buvusį vieną didžiausių sodų Rytų Europoje – Vilniaus universiteto botanikos sodą. Šalia įėjimo į parką nuo Šv. Brunono gatvės pusės auga seniausias Vilniaus ąžuolas, kurio amžius siekia net 400 metų.
Bernardinų sodo istorija siekia XV amžių, kuomet į Vilnių pakviesti bernardinų vienuoliai pastatė Šv. Onos, Šv. Pranciškaus ir Bernardinų bažnyčių bei vienuolyno kompleksą, o pelkėtą ir šaltiniuotą plotą sukultūrino, įveisė sodus su tvenkiniais, kanalais ir derlingais daržais. Vėliau čia dūzgė bitynas bei stovėjo oranžerija. Likusioje Vilnios vingio dalyje buvo pilies ūkio kiemas, vėliau vadintas Sereikiškių priemiesčiu, su užtvankomis, malūnais ir dirbtuvėmis.
2013 m., po ilgiau nei metus trukusios parko rekonstrukcijos, čia buvo atkurta autentiška XIX amžiaus aplinka atkartojus XIX a. pab. parkų įrenginėjimo stilių: sukūrus atvirų ir uždarų erdvių sistemą su žaliuojančiomis pievomis, įrengus menininko Alexanderio Strausso kurtą centrinę aikštę, rožyną bei XX a. alpinariumą su tvenkiniu. Parko pagrindiniame rožyne įrengtas grojantis ir šviečiantis fontanas, botanikos sodo augalų asortimentą papildė baseinėlyje įrengta vandens augalų ekspozicija, planuojama atnaujinti ir čia esantį alpinariumą. Šiuo laikotarpiu parkui sugrąžintas senasis, Bernardinų sodo, pavadinimas.

[EN] Created in 1469, the garden is still open in the heart of the Old Town and remains a favorite place for a romantic stroll.
The Vilnia River flowing by is soothing and it’s lovely to simply sit down on a nearby bench and listen to it over a game of checkers. The musical fountain in the centre of the park spreads its songs throughout the green space.
The Vilnia River Valley was once a sacred grove, and the Old Town’s oldest oak tree is still growing in the park.
The history of Bernardine Gardens dates back to 15thcentury when Bernardine Monks were invited to Vilnius and they built the complex of St. Anne's, St. Francis’ and Bernardine’s Churches and Monasteries, and cultivated the marshy springy area by planting gardens with ponds, canals and fertile gardens. Later, an apiary and conservatory were built here. In the remaining part of the Vilnia bend, there was the courtyard of a castle farm, later known as the Sereikiškės suburb, which included dams, mills, and workshops.
In 2013, the park was restored to its authentic 19thcentury environment and now features sunny meadows, a central square, a rosary and a rock garden with a pond designed by artist Alexander Strauss. The park's main rosary features a glowing musical fountain, and the botanical garden’s plant range was supplemented by an aquatic plant exposition in the pond, while the current rock garden will be renovated. The original name of the park, Bernardine Garden, was also reinstated.
