This collection of caches has nothing to do with the Church Micro series in the UK. Given that the Australian 2016 census indicates that No Religion and Jedi Knight are the fastest increasing classifications of the optional religion question "What is the person's religion?" it is not surprising that there is surfeit of empty churches that have been repurposed.
Payneham Argent Uniting church
Built as Primitive Methodist church. The building was is constructed of brick with rendered dressings. The parapet/gable end is extremely idiosyncratic with colonial Dutch gable curves and each pinnacle surmounted by a cast iron finial. Extensions were added in 1883. Methodist after union in 1901. Uniting after 1977. Sold in 2018. Now a funeral chapel. Thomas Cooper is buried in the Cooper plot immediately behind the building.
