A beautiful walk along the Peffrey way along the disused railway line with stunning views and lots of nature.
This is the third cache we've placed along this route and this walk can be an out and back from Strathpeffer or Dingwall or park half way at Fodderty. There are other interconnecting paths that you can follow from the Peffrey way if you fancy going for a longer walk (these are not low level or flat like most the Peffrey way though). You could go head over The Cat's Back towards Strathpeffer or up to Knockbain farm. You could even (taking care)cross the busy A834 and follow the less used path towards Dingwall via Brae farm and Docharty Farm and along towards Tulloch Castle where you could join up with the Round Dingwall walk. - There's lots of options here :)
The parking for this cache would need to be at Strathpeffer railway station if you want to avoid the one section of this path that hasn't been made level access yet. Or for a longer walk and if you don't mind the short uncompleted section (with one or two fences to cross), you could park at Fodderty cemetery or even at Dingwall town centre or Knockbain farm if you plan to be out a bit longer.
You cannot access this route from the main A834 anywhere else.
