Series of geocaches in Forest Service Area along Hayden Creek Rd. Area can be a HIGH muggle area during the summer, so please be stealthy!! Terrain, difficulty, container types, and hints change with each cache, so please be sure to pay careful attention to cache information BEFORE heading up into the mountains. Not handicachable due to forest debris and uneven terrain.
We think this area is absolutely beautiful with the creek running alongside the road for much of the way, so we decided to start a power trail of caches starting at our Forest Hollow cache (GC2249Z). Yes, this is Hayden Creek #14 ..... in between #'s 99 & 100.... because why would we have a normal numbering?? Normal is boring! LOL!! Actually, the real reason is that, on 6-4-22, we archived the original #14 (GC2ZHEK) due to it's proximity to a shooting range that keeps getting worse year by year. I really should rename all of the geoaches in this series....and maybe someday I will. But not yet. LOL!
Containers are of assorted size, shape, and color. Some are right off the road, some are a little further off. Some caches have FTF prizes, but some do not, But they all will be fun to find!! :-) The caches are also filled with swag for all kinds of folks!
**No cell phone service in this area. All caches are located off from Hayden Creek Rd./FS-437.(Road shows both names on maps) Road is a fairly nice and maintained gravel road in the summer. Please do not attempt any of these caches in the winter without a snowmobile or 4 Wheel drive with excellent winter tires!! GPS devices do not seem to lose signal up here, but the readings vary with an accuracy of +- 15 to 25 feet, so the coordinates may be off quite a bit at times. However, the caches should still be easy to find by following the hints!**
