"Bad libraries build collections, good libraries build services, great libraries build communities"Â
- R. David Lankes
This letterbox hybrid was placed with permission and is full of (and surrounded by) treasure, especially if you're a lover of books. It's a safe place for trackables. There is no employee interaction or purchase necessary to find this cache, but questions and conversation are welcomed. This cache is only accessible during the library's open hours.Â
Follow the instructions (or waypoints) to collect the information needed to locate the letterbox which can be found at call number ABC.D in the main collection.Â
At the posted coordinates, find the bi-centennial plaque (flag pole) to determine the numeric values for A & B.Â
A = third digit in year of dedicationÂ
B = first digit of post numberÂ
Next, walk northwest on the sidewalk 100 paces or until until you see an interesting rock feature on your right. Use the information on the "Skystones" placard (on ground) to determine the last two numbers.Â
C = last digit in year listed
D = number of letters in artist's first nameÂ
Next, walk twenty paces east to the nearby building where you'll find the letterbox located at ABC.D inside! A stamp is provided but you'll need to bring your own ink. Please observe all posted signage and if you have the time, stick around to appreciate all this community space has to offer. 📚Â

About the Skyway Library
Skyway Library represents the first significant public investment in Skyway in several decades. The library’s sculptural form responds to its triangular site and to the community’s desire for an inspiring and dynamic public space. The building features a carefully detailed exterior skin whose three shades of blue resonate with the sky at dusk and dawn.
