The intersection of the stone walls here is a dramatic spot to appreciate the hard work and time that must have been needed for the Shakers to complete these stone fences. Careful observation of the trees in this area reveals that their placement does not appear to be random. Although they are all too young to have been planted by the Shakers, it would seem that a later landowner planted these trees in rows for some specific use.
