Die Landesfürstliche Burg ist eine historische Gebäudeanlage mitten in Meran.
Sie wurde um 1470 von Herzog Sigmund von Österreich-Tirol, genannt der Münzreiche, erbaut. Diesem diente sie als Stadtresidenz und auch Kaiser Maximilian war mehrmals hier zu Gast.
Heute ist die Burg öffentlich zugänglich und wird nicht nur als Museum sondern auch für zahlreiche standesamtliche Hochzeiten genutzt.
Zum Cache: Es herrscht hier oft großes Muggelaufkommen und die Dose wird von der Polizei gut bewacht. Bitte beim Bergen etwas Vorsicht.
Il Castello Principesco è un castello nel centro storico di Merano.
Fu costruito intorno al 1470 del duca Sigismondo d'Austria, detto "il danaroso" come abitazione privata.
Oggi il castello è aperto al pubblico e viene utilizzato non solo come museo ma anche per numerosi matrimoni civili.

The Prince's Castle is a historic complex in the heart of Merano.
It was built around 1470 by Archduke Sigismund of Austria, known as ‘der Münzreiche (the Coin-Rich)’. It served as his city residence, and Emperor Maximilian was also a guest here on several occasions.
Today, the castle is open to the public and is used not only as a museum but also for numerous civil wedding ceremonies.
