My Last Cache - In memory of ParisAm21 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

ParisAm21: Thank you everyone for the nice notes and comments on this cache. It was a special way to remember my dad. Some fence maintenance was done in the area where it was hidden and it came up missing. It is time to archive this.

Geocache Description:

This cache is being temporarily placed in memory of ParisAm21.  Don passed away on 6/9/22 after battling Pulmonary Fibrosis for the past few years.  Our hopes are that his friends and fellow geocachers will stop, spend a few minutes remembering and celebrating his life.  Please share stories and memories in the log.

After finding his first cache on 10/18/2013, he went on to find 4494 caches in 23 states.  He was very proud to complete the Jasmer Challenge and was more than half way through the Texas County challenge.  When traveling he always did his best to find the oldest hidden cache in each state.  His most impressive streak was finding a cache every day for 533 consecutive days.  Don and Judy also attended 3 GeoWoodstock events in Cincinnati, Denver and Fort Worth.

Don has a trackable he placed in 2014 that was last logged on 06/04/2022 and has travelled 28650 miles in its life.

As his family, we want to send out a huge thank you to the Geocaching community.   He loved geocaching, the people he met and memories he made all along the way. Geocaching enhanced his retirement in so many ways. More than you can imagine.
