CA Parks: Castle Mountains National Monument Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

ScaredCactus: I have decided to remake this series in a different location, so I will have to archive these caches as they are not close enough to the new location. I ran into some key problems when making this powertrail and I was not happy with the quality of caches and the locations they were in. With more experience now I hope to bring a new and improved CA Parks series.

Geocache Description:

Castle Mountains represents some of the most unique elements of the Mojave Desert. Nestled between the Nevada state line and Mojave National Preserve, the nearly 21,000 acres of Castle Mountains boasts Joshua tree forests, unbroken natural landscapes, rare desert grasslands, and rich human history. This intriguing area provides serenity and solitude from nearby metropolitan areas.

This series of caches is themed around the National Parks of California, including national monuments, historic sites, seashores, and more. It will take you along Bay Road and Atherton. All of the caches were placed within a few feet of the road and there is no need to go into private property. All park descriptions are cited from the National Park Service's website.

Please replace as found and please be stealthy as most of the caches are placed in suburban areas.

6/16/2022: The cache was stolen or destroyed, I guess it was too big for the location. I hope to place a big cache somewhere else on this series but now the container is smaller to hide it better.

7/14/2022: Cache has been stolen again so I had to change the cash type and spot so now it is more difficult to find. Coordinates changed to:
N 37° 28.097 W 122° 9.387
