This tree planting day is being organized by the Friends of Werribee River through Bacchus Marsh in association with Moorabool Landcare Network Inc.
This area has undergone alot of development and restoration over the past few years. The waterway here is particularly important to the local platypuses that are known to live here. This is a great opportunity to connect with the Friends of Werribee River through Bacchus Marsh and help enhance this beautiful area.
We will be planting along the lower river path/creek embankment. There is a path and options can be made available to suit.
- Plants and tools provided.
- Please bring gloves and wear appropriate clothing.
- BYO mug for morning tea
This CITO has been planned for 9.30 am - 11 am, however the tree planting event will continue until 12.30pm, so please feel free to stay longer to plant more seedlings if you wish.
Morning tea is provided by Friends of Werribee River through Bacchus Marsh at 11am. BYO cup for drinks.
Bacchus Marsh railway station is within walking distance. You can get to Bacchus Marsh by taking the Ballarat train on the V-Line service from Southern Cross station.
