Geocache Description:


This cache is one of a series of 27 caches, one for each of the letters of the alphabet plus a bonus cache. Placed across the county by a team of 'Nottingham Geocachers'. The Caches vary in type, size and difficulty. Each one has a different initial letter and a link to the county of Nottinghamshire. There will be bonus information in each cache (there will be multiples of the same info so if one cache is temporarily disabled the bonus is still attainable)

F for Freestyle!

Rebecca Adlington OBE is a British former competitive swimmer who specialised in freestyle events in international competition. She won two gold medals at the 2008 Summer Olympics in the 400-metre freestyle and 800-metre freestyle, breaking the 19-year-old world record of Janet Evans in the 800-metre final! She grew up around this area and after winning gold returned to this very estate! Where Ryedale avenue was decorated and temporarily renamed after the Olympic gold medalist! See the below article:
