Welcome to Ted's Beach
While you are here, there is a sign about the history of the beach (but I forgot to get a photo, so the info below is from my memory!)
It was the idea of a Hydro Tasmania worker named Ted, to strip back the vegetation and as the water level rose, the sand would wash up and create a beach.
It is the closest thing we have to the original Lake Pedder (but no where near as beautiful!)
There is currently a movement to restore the original Lake Pedder.
You can camp here, there's a somewhat overgrown boardwalk over the side of the water and a BBQ and picnic tables.
The cache is a tiny little magnetic nano, BYO Pen.
