Markus, a motivated young hunter, has always enjoyed going into the forest and observing animals in his hunting area all year long. Already as a child and also as a teenager he spent most of his time outside in nature. For a few years now he has his own hunting area in rent and loves to take care of his animals. Unfortunately, from time to time he also has to remove a sick or old animal from its suffering, but that is also one of the most important tasks of a hunter.
One day Markus went his usual round through his forest and made a sad discovery. In the bushes, a little off the path, lay a dead deer which had obviously been hit by a car and did not survive the accident. Upon closer inspection, he recognized the deer and immediately knew that this deer had given birth to a fawn just a few weeks ago. This fawn was not yet able to survive without a mother! Markus instantly began to search for the little one, because he really wanted to save its life. He didn't have to search long, because the little fawn was probably also involved in the accident since it was injured on one leg. Markus took the fawn with him, made it a nice enclosure in the barn at his home, gave it the necessary food and cared for its wound several times a day. Thankfully, the wounds of a healthy animal heals quickly and after a few weeks the fawn was fit and strong enough to move back into the forest to join his fellow animals! Markus’ care and concern were not only effective, but also an important lesson and inspiration for his own son, who, when he grows up, wants to become a hunter just like his father!
