"Taking Care of Business" was a mantra and a point of pride for Elvis Presley and his entourage, known as the Memphis Mafia. Elvis incorporated the letters into an emblem flanked by lightning bolts which signified Taking Care of Business in a Flash.
Around the age of twelve, Elvis took an interest in comic books, in particular, Captain Marvel Jr. Numerous references feel the lightning bolt worn on the chest of of Captain Marvel was part of the inspiration of TCB.
The TCB symbol held an oath, part of which stated, "More self-respect, more respect for fellow man." From Elvis' jewelry, decor at Graceland, to even on his private airplane, the Lisa Marie, TCB was splashed throughout his stardom life, reminding him to hold true to his values.
