Geocache Description:

West Midlands 2022

Moist Caching

Tracing the old medieval routes in England can be fun. Just look at the OS map here and notice the way the general run of the footpaths both south (here) and north (about 161m to the west) generall match the road to the south and north? This is a good sign that you're encountering an ancient right of way that predates the fields, farms, and even the legal system around here. This bit has clearly been re-routed slightly around the large field to the south, but you'll see when you get to #15 some further evidence to support this.
Stand for a moment on the stile and in the sense of history as you look south and north from the stile, and imagine the wagons and walkers, livestock and horsemen that have passed near here for centuries or more.

Then reach under and grab the geocache!
