Geocache Description:

In 1885, a two acre parcel was purchased on muddy Waterworks Drive. A brick power house was built and a large intake pipe was run into the lake for "fresh water".   This water was pumped throughout the city. Prior to the water plant, water was taken from KeKoose Lake.

The Baw Beese Walking Trail is part of the North Country trail system.   The park closes at night and dogs must be on their leash.
