Cache is set at the #6 shaft of the Osceola Mine.
The mine is private property so you shouldn't explore. However... the cache is set within the county road rightaway so you're fine at the cache.
Osceola organized in 1873. Taken over by C&H in 1909, and ran till 1931. In the 1950’s they re-opened the #5 and 6 shafts until the 1968 labor strike. Produced 190 million lbs. of copper. Shafts 5 and 6 on old Opechee mine property
