This is the House of Seven Gables built back in the 1800's by Jack Chegwidden. It was vacant for many years and put up for sale. It was purchased in early 2021. The buyer had the intent of refurbishing the house and make it his permanent residence. However, the contractor that was refurbishing the home was digging a basement under the house when, by accident, 3 walls caved in. A horrible tragedy. History lossed in a matter of seconds. The owner decided to rebuild this house using the same limestone blocks that was used to build the house in the later 1800's. What you see now is the newly rebuilt House of Seven Gables. It was also called The House That Jack Built.
