Der ehemalige Steinbruch diente erst zur Gewinnung von Baumaterial und war später ein beliebter Übungsplatz der NVA. Mittlerweile hat die Natur diesen Steinbruch zurückerobert. Er macht einen idyllischen Eindruck und läd ein für Übernachtungen mit Lagerfeuer.
