Geocacher majorbonnet originally placed a cache at the famous Seattle Gum Wall in 2010.
In 2015, the Gum Wall was cleaned for the first time ever, removing over 20 years of build-up. Since then, cleanings of the Gum Wall seem to happen more frequently, on behalf of the Pike Place Market Preservation & Development Authority, in an effort to prevent further erosion of the bricks. In 2017, the wall was cleaned again, and the cache was lost in the process.
The Gum Wall continues to bounce back every time, even stronger – and stickier – than before. Now that there's gum on the wall, it's time to get the Gum Wall cache up and running again!
Find this cache at your own risk. This is a germy place, so please assess your comfort level before visiting and come prepared with hand sanitizer and gloves. Please be discreet when searching, as this is a heavily-visited area.
