Welcome, or welcome back, to the Strange Fish Series. In it I recognize and show my appreciation for the odd, unloved fish species of our state. And, when you go Strange Fishing in a neglected body of water called Bullis Pond you are of course hoping to catch a Bull Head!
And I did. Today we celebrate the Black Bull Head. This durable critter can survive in a low oxygen, poor water quality environment. Even the nasty parking lot run off from Oakwood Mall does not seem to be a deal breaker.
This cache is accessable without crashing down steep slopes. Pick up the trail behind Monk's Saloon and follow it until it is near the big run off culvert. This is one of those caches that when you stare hard enough it should stare back. Camo as needed.
For those trying to complete the entire Strange Fish Stringer I'll give you permission to skip the one up by Hayward. Good Fishin'!

Note: Recent finder reported an empty cache. I checked and found the Bull Head in fine shape and with log and pencil at ready. I suspect there is an archived, dead cache somewhere nearby. Remember....this is an unusual cache container not some film can or Bison tube! TLGC 7/17/2022
