This cache was placed to help celebrate the grand opening of the new ARBA (American Rabbit Breeder's Assoc.) headquarters and library. The building initially served as a local General Store, which was built in 1893, though it has been moved a short distance from it's original location. The interior still has all of the original woodwork, decorative tile ceiling, and built-in shelving from the day the store was built!
The ARBA is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion, development and improvement of domestic rabbits and cavies. With almost 20,000 members throughout the United States, Canada, and abroad, members range from the pet owner with one animal to the breeder or commercial raiser with several hundred. The old General Store has been converted with five rooms dedicated to the history, preservation, and celebration of the rabbit and cavy industry in North America.
This cache is contained within a plastic water-resistant container, and should be a quick park-and-grab for most. You do not need to go inside the building to find the cache, which has been placed with permission of the ARBA. Please be respectful of the grounds and place the cache container back in the same location as found. It is recommended that you only search for this cache during daylight hours.
