PGCAR was started by Plumbrokeacres many years ago as a way to grow the game locally and it remains one of the most popular and active events for geocachers in the PG area. We hope you had fun this weekend collecting smilies and adventuring in the Prince George area.
It is not required for you to have found any PGCAR 2022 caches to attend this finish line event. Come one come all! Meet and greet new and old friends! Be regaled with the tales of your fellow cachers from this weekend; the wins, the losses and the absurd. (how many large fuzzy animals or ditch slides were involved this year…). Event will happen rain, snow or shine so come dressed appropriately as it is outdoors in a public park for convenience and pandemic safety. While in the past we have done potluck, this year we ask you to bring your own personal picnic so we can still share a dinner table and our stories around it. If you want to come for nothing more than a hello and a smiley that is welcome too as are any new cachers who may want help with the game.
Bring any travel bugs that you want to be discovered or moved along.
As always on PGCAR weekends there is the coveted…err…dreaded OOOPS Award to be handed out to a cacher who inevitably falls into misfortune on this weekend or in the past caching year in general. In the past the award has been given for police interventions, getting stuck in ditches while being chased by a bear, misprinted coordinates and more. Will you be the recipient this year? Gather your tales of caching woe and share at the start event and/or finish event or in the logs so the award can be passed on from the current award of shame holder ‘1grl_revolution’, to you or your friends ;) There may be a separate prize draw as well for attendees of the Finish Line.
