This is my first hide and I hope you all enjoy this cache. Deep Creek Cemetery has a lot of history and is not visited very often. So I decided to put my first cache at this location. You will have to park at the gate and walk down to the cemetery so pick a nice day to do this as the road gate stays locked most of the time. Please go during the daytime only and be respectful to those who rest in this cemetery and the property. It's a little less than a quarter-mile hike to the cache location from the entrance. If you need a key to drive to the cemetery from the gate you can get the key to the gate from Hawkins Funeral Home 405 E Main St, Decatur, TX 76234 for the people who have trouble walking.
This cemetery was established by the first settlers to the area and is one of the oldest in Wise county.
